2021 Virtual Confernce
November 5 | Streams for Orff, Band and Diversity
The Saskatchewan Music Conference (SMC) is once again going virtual!
Planning for this year's online conference is well underway, and we are proud to announce that acclaimed speaker, Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser, will deliver this year’s keynote address!
Other world-class clinicians are currently being booked to deliver outstanding sessions in band, orff and diversity that will allow participants to explore the depths of their creativity. 12 live sessions will run during this one-day event, and all sessions will be recorded and available through a password protected site for ONE MONTH after the event.
Local entertainment will once again be a key feature of this year's event, including performances by the University of Saskatchewan Jazz Ensemble and Saskatoon musicians Gerard Weber and Brett Graham. Student poster presentations are back by popular demand, and special networking sessions are also in the works, so keep checking back for more updates in the coming months!
We hope that you will join us as we explore SMC through a virtual lens!
SMC is proudly hosted by the Saskatchewan Music Educators Association. SMEA is part of the Professional Growth Network with the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation, and this conference is part of SMEA's commitment to furthering professional development opportunities for teachers in the province.
Registration fees are still being determined and will be announced in the coming months. We look forward to seeing all of you in November!
